Serbian AI company Anari has raised two million Dollars for its custom-designed, personalized chips, the Tech.EU portal reported on Tuesday, adding that the chips come at a fraction of the current cost.

It said the money was raised with the Earlybird capital investments firm working with Acequia Capital, Serbian Entrepreurs and Eric Ries. “Anari is a cloud-based AI chip factory that makes custom-designed AI chips available to all with just one click. Through this approach, Anari allows for companies to build and deploy AI solutions in weeks instead of the industry de facto, 12-18 months. All at a fraction of the cost of traditional hardware development,” the report said.

It quoted Earlybird co-founder Roland Manger as saying that “Anari is a game-changer in two ways: it removes the trade-off between performance and effort, and it makes AI-problem-specific chip solutions available instantaneously in the cloud”. Former NVIDIA software VP Sasa Ostojic said that “Anari’s cloud chip technology is the future of cloud computing.” Tech.EU said that Manger and Ostojic are joining Anari’s board of directors along with advisors Dejan Markovic and Christoph Auer-Welsbach who said that Anari’s approach brings fully customizable 100 times faster AI chips at a fraction of the cost and predicted that the company will become a major player in the AI field.
