President Aleksandar Vucic said that Serbia will take part in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue because it wants to be constructive and discuss ways to solve problems.

“It’s important to guarantee security for our people, solve problems and today I insisted on implementing the Brussels Agreement which means the Community of Serb Municipalities as well as freedom of movement for people, goods and services. That is of crucial importance for the progress of all the economies of the region,” Vucic wrote in an Instagram post from Brussels where he met with the European Union’s special representative for the Kosovo dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.

He added that Monday’s talks will focus on regional relations and rule of law as well as things that have been accomplished in the past month. “I think we have shown progress in many areas,” the post said.

Vucic said that talks had been opened with “representatives of the European Delegation” on what he said is one of the biggest infrastructure projects ever in Serbia. “We won’t be the same country, it will be an unbelievable results for Serbia in every sense of the word,” he said.

Vucic is due to meet with European Council President Charles Michel, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and High Representative Josep Borell, Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi and European Parliament rapporteur Vladimir Bilcik.
