Vucic: Serbia – Hungary relations never better

After meeting with the Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó in Belgrade on Friday, Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic said the relations between the two countries were at the historically highest level.

The two discussed the improvement of bilateral relations, Serbia’s European integration, curbing COVID-19 pandemic, usage of gas and Belgrade – Budapest strategic partnership in many areas, a statement from Vucic’s office said.

It added Vucic particularly stressed his excellent personal relationship with the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

According to the statement, Szijjártó also described his country’s relations with Serbia as friendly and said Belgrade “can always count on Budapest’s help in the European integrations process.”
