The President of Serbia and the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), Aleksandar Vucic, stated that he would not comment on the accusations against the Minister of Defense, Nebojsa Stefanovic, which were presented in interviews conducted by SNS member Vladimir Djukanovic.

„Let us talk about Djukanovic’s accusations, we will discuss that within our party. We will discuss everything among ourselves, and the competent authorities will decide who committed the crime,“ said Vucic.

When asked by N1 television whether, after serious accusations against him, Stefanovic will remain a minister in the government and a member of the SNS leadership, Vucic said that it was „hypocrisy“.

„Those who have been campaigning against Vladimir Djukanovic all day, demanding his expulsion from the Bar Association and calling him a bison, are suddenly worried about how Nebojsa could be a member of the party leadership,“ Vucic said.

The president of the SNS claims that he was illegally wiretapped and that it is a lie that he „broke into the measures“ because he talked to the vice president of the Serbian List, Milan Radoicic, and the controversial businessman Zvonko Veselinovic. He also said that they tried to „insert his innocent brother“ into the Jovanjic case and bring him into contact with Predrag Koluvija, the owner of that agricultural property on which the largest marijuana plantation in Europe was found.

When asked why the Interior Ministry’s inspectors who worked on the Jovanjic case were called to take the polygraph for the third time, after passing the polygraph twice, Vucic said that someone in the MUP „suspected that the issues had been arranged.“

„For some strange reasons, they refused for the third time,“ said Vucic.
