We are trying to avoid a "perfect storm" and that is why we talked about the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, but also about other issues, how each country welcomes winter and how each country can help others, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said after the meeting with Slovenian President Borut Pahor in Belgrade, on Saturday.

The key issue, according to him, is the link between the difficult energy situation of the upcoming autumn and winter and all the additional political problems that could arise in the region.

„I asked Borut Pahor, if it comes up on the agenda of any EU body, that the Western Balkans be part of the financial support or imported electricity or part of the consumed electricity. I am sure that we can count on the support of our Slovenian friends, especially because we do not think that we could get as much as the member states, but everything that we could get would be significant for the security of electricity supply and the financial stability of not only Serbia but other countries as well, that are worse off than us,“ said Vucic.
