European Integration Minister Jadranka Joksimovic signed documents on 22 million Dollars in US grants to Serbia, a government press release said on Thursday.

Joksimovic, the government coordinator of international development aid, signed amendments to agreements to provide aid to Serbia to improve the public administration and a competitive market economy.

The minister is quoted as saying that the grants will be used to finance projects implemented by USAID and the Serbian government. “In addition to supporting the economy, a significant part of the funds will be directed to the implementation of projects to support judicial reform and increase the efficiency of the judiciary, improve the regulatory framework in the media, and strengthen the capacity of relevant bodies to implement media reforms,” the press release said.
