Kosovo Government spokesman Perparim Kryeziu confirmed for the media that a meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and European Union (EU) Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak is under way in Pristina.

Kryeziu said this was the reason why Kurti left today’s Kosovo Parliament sitting early.

The Kurti–Lajcak meeting was not announced in the Prime Minister’s official agenda.

EU spokesman Peter Stano said they do not comment on every working meeting or interaction with partners in the region.

These working visits, such as the one in Kosovo today, take place within the framework for the improvement of the dialogue process and continuation of talks for the comprehensive normalization of relations, said Stano is a written statement forwarded to Radio Free Europe.

Lajcak and German and French governments’ advisors visited Pristina last Friday where they met with Kurti, following which they had a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade.
