Michael Hayward Davenport MBE, 59, a UK's career diplomat, took over from Jan Braathu, a Norwegian, as the eight head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, the organisation said on Monday.
Devenport said OSCE had been excellently supporting Kosovo in human rights, democratization and public safety.

„It’s a privilege to head a strong team of experts in these areas and with a lot of experience. I’m looking forward to cooperating with all interested parties in implementing the Mission’s mandate,“ he added.
Devenport has rich experience in the Western Balkans, where he has served as the European Union ambassador and the head of the EU Delegation in Serbia from 2013 to 2017, and the UK envoy to Serbia from 2010 to 2013.
