The protest of Serbs from Kosovo over the deployment of special police forces at the administrative crossings of Jarinje and Brnjak as well as the decision of Pristina authorities regarding the license plates regulations has entered the seventh day.
According to the public broadcaster RTS, two Serbian Army’s ‘eagle’ planes were seen flying over Jarinje twice as well as a KFOR helicopter.
Neither the police forces nor the locals who gathered in the protest seem to be giving up on their initial positions, according to RTS.
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said in New York where she addressed the UN General Assembly session that Belgrade is ready for dialogue but that Pristina is obviously not.
Serbian Defence Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and Chief of the Joint Staff of the Army of Serbia Milan Mojsilovic have toured the positions of the forces that are in the state of increased combat readiness due to the latest developments in Jarinje, the Defence Ministry said.
