The opposition Democratic Party (DS) and the Assembly of Free Serbia filed criminal charges on Monday against Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar on suspicion of "failing to comply with health regulations during the coronavirus epidemic."

The charges include felonies against human health and abuse of office.

DS Deputy President Dragana Rakic said all anti-pandemic measures were adopted „based on daily public opinion polls“, to keep the current regime in power.

„All these are criminal acts that we charge these two people of. Today, the citizens face the fact that Serbia is ruled by the regime, the Government that is the worst in the country’s history. That is the Government that managed to kill more people in peacetime than some other governments in wartime,“ Rakic said.

The health coordinator of the Assembly of Free Serbia, Zoran Radovanovic, added the authorities’ reaction to the „death of enormous proportions“ was the falsification of data.
