Serbia’s foreign trade higher in 2022

Serbia’s foreign trade in the January-November 2022 period stood at 59.27 billion Euro or 30.8 percent higher than in the same period a year earlier, the Republic Statistics Office (RZS) said on Thursday.

Serbia’s exports in those 11 months totaled 24.81 billion Euro or 26.4 percent higher than in 2021 while imports totaled 34.46 billion Euro or 34.1 percent more, the RZS said adding that the deficit totaled 964 billion Euro or 58.9 percent more than a year earlier. A total of 71.9 percent of imports were covered by exports which is lower than last year’s 76.4 percent.

European Union member states accounted for 58.8 percent of the foreign trade. Exports to CEFTA countries totaled 3.83 billion Euro and imports stood at 1.53 billion producing a surplus of 2.29 billion Euro, the RZS said.
