Serbia’s Finance Minister, Sinisa Mali, said the state's assistance in reimbursing the costs for the purchase of real estate to mothers in the amount of up to 20 percent of the price will be continued in the coming years.

Mali told Prva TV that the decision was made to help refund money to mothers for the purchase of real estate in 19 municipalities, up to 50 percent of the price of a house bought or built. He reminded that women who gave birth as of January 1 this year, or who will have a child, have a right to the assistance, regardless of whether they are married or single mothers.

„The state will reimburse the costs of up to 20,000 euros for the house being built or if an apartment is being purchased with cash or a loan. In both cases, the state provides non-refundable aid,” he said.

The condition for receiving state aid is that the spouses together earn less than two average salaries.
