Serbia’s doctor: Epidemic situation finally stabilised; Stick to measures

The situation with the coronavirus epidemic in Serbia was finally stabilised. Goran Stevanovic, director of the country's Clinic for Infectious and Tropic Diseases, said on Tuesday following the meeting between the COVID-19 hospitals' heads and the Heath Minister Zlatibor Loncar.

„The number of patients needed hospitalisation equals the number of discharged people. That enables medical institution and spas’ capacities to return to their routine,“ Stevanovic said.

However, he warned that over 5,000 hospitalised patients meant the system was still overloaded and that the existing anti-epidemic measures should be respected.
