Serbia’s Assembly President, Ivica Dacic, said that joint meetings of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) on the upcoming elections should be held in the next few days.
Dacic told TV Happy that he and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic had already talked about these joint SNS and SPS meetings, and added that on Monday he would set a date for the continuation of the inter-party dialogue on election conditions with the part of the opposition that does not want European Parliament mediation.
“You know that I advocated that we should have a common approach, a candidate, possibly a list. We will certainly have a common approach and performance, and the modalities – we should discuss that in the coming period,” said Dacic.
Speaking about the inter-party dialogue, he specified that with the part of the opposition that does not want the mediation of MEPs, the parties should „slowly come to a proposal for a final agreement, or communiques that we would sign or agree with those parties.“
