Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told Euronews Serbia on Friday evening that he would never appear on N1 TV.

“I would feel ashamed to face my children if I went there,” he said and repeated the lie that his children were often the subject of it shows. “They were accused of the worst possible things and I would feel very bad if I went there facing my children,” he said.

Vucic has been invited to appear on N1 TV for years but has never responded to the invitations, nor has his Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) or the president’s cabinet. “N1 TV reports have always been in the public interest and will continue to do so and the invitation to Aleksandar Vucic to answer every question we pose is still extended,” N1 said.

“If someone believes they have the right to strike at three children then I have no intention of taking part,” he said. “If someone who has been coming to your home for 20 years, to every child’s birthday and knows him or her well, puts a poster of the worst criminals on the TV screen and says that your child is a member of that clain would you appear on that TV or not,” Vucic said.
