Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic assessed that the moves the authorities made until 2020 enabled Serbia to endure and win the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to her, medical workers and staff, scientists, but also a strong and stable health system played a key role in the fight for human lives, said Brnabic at the opening of the First World Conference on Combating the Covid-19 Pandemic, which is being held in Belgrade until March 28.
Brnabic recalled some of the investments in the previous period, the construction of new hospitals, clinical centres, digitalization of health care, employment of doctors, purchase of vaccines and medicines, etc.
All that, she added, has shown that Serbia is keeping pace with the countries of the world and said that investments will continue.
Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar, said that in three days of the conference, experts should make an analysis of what was done during the pandemic and find future solutions.
„I’m not sure that we are done with coronavirus. We must find a solution on how to behave in the further,“ Loncar said.
Brnabic pointed out that during the conference, some 1,000 participants and 300 lecturers will discuss 50 topics, with the aim of exchanging opinions between the most eminent experts from the region and the world on the coping and consequences of the pandemic.
