Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic accused the opposition of targeting President Aleksandar Vucic’s son Danilo.

She told the pro-government TV Pink that the attacks on the Vucic family show that the opposition will not refrain from anything. “They are linking President Vucic’s son to crime clans that he has not connection to,” she said commenting media reports linking the younger Vucic toVeljko Belivuk who was arrested on a number of criminal charges.

According to Brnabic, some opposition leaders have been talking about unrest on the streets “as an alternative to the dialogue” to improve election conditions. She said that she does not believe that parties that have three or four percent support would dare threaten rioting. “That just the desperation and impotence of members of the former regime,” she said and added that Serbia under Vucic’s Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) has passed everyone in the region including those that it “fell behind during the former regime”.
