Serbian PM says EU doing nothing about Kosovo

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic accused the European Union of doing nothing to resolve the Kosovo issue.

“I have nothing good to say about Europe’s behavior, the behavior of the EU,” she said adding that in her opinion the Brussels Agreement is an issue for the EU. The situation on the border of Kosovo and Serbia has been tense over the past week after the authorities in Pristina decided to ban entry to all vehicles with Serbian license plates following the expiration of part of the EU-mediated Brussels Agreement.

According to Brnabic, the Brussels Agreement is clearly being violated because the police special unit ROSU should not be in the north of Kosovo and the Community of Serb Municipalities has not been formed nine years after the Brussels Agreement was signed. “The EU has been tolerating the fact that the Brussels Agreement has not been implemented for ine years and is keeping quiet when it is clearly being violated,” she said.

“And then the EU asks me at a meeting (at the UN) in New York what we could do to de-escalate the situation. You could do what you promised,” she said.
