The Serbian government’s pandemic crisis response team on Wednesday recommended a third dose of coronavirus vaccine for people with certain ailments, primarily patients with immune deficiency and chronic ailments.

Labor Minister Dr Darija Kisic Tepavcevic told reporters after the meeting that the third dose is also recommended for people who underwent transplant surgery, patients on dialysis and people with malignant illnesses.

The response team recommendation follows in the footsteps of a recommendation by the Expert Immunization Committee which said that a third vaccine shot of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine should be given at least six months after the second shot.
