Serbian minister discusses cooperation with Russian counterpart

Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Aleksandar Vulin discussed cooperation with the Russian acting Civil Defense and Emergency Situations Minister Aleksandr Chupriyan in Moscow on Thursday.

A ministry press release said that Vulin and Chupriyan agreed to continue training Serbian fire rescue personnel in Russia.

Russia maintains a humanitarian center at the airport in the southern city of Nis. The presence of the center has been questioned by the European Union and other countries especially since Moscow requested diplomatic status for its personnel there.

The press release quoted Vulin as saying that relations between the two countries are based on trust and mutual respect with the presonal relationship between the two countries Presidents Aleksandar Vucic and Vladimir Putin contributing to the relations. Chupriyan is quoted as expressing the hope that the successful cooperation would continue.
