Foreign Minster Nikola Selakovic said on Tuesday that Serbia wants to promote its partnership with NATO and continue the political dialogue and practical cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

A ministry press release said that he told the NATO Belgrade office MLO chief Italian Army Brigadier General Tommaso Vitale that “the personal relationship between President Aleksandar Vucic and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has given the partnership a special contribution”. “Serbia and NATO should continue promoting their partnership cooperation with the mutual interest of preserving the peace and stability of the region,” the press release quoted Selakovic as saying and adding that Belgrade supports and appreciates KFOR engagement in Kosovo in securing a stable and secure environment and freedom of movement.

The press release did not include anything that General Vitale said at the meeting.
