The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) raised its projection of GDP growth to 6.5 percent this year from the six percent it projected in May.

The NBS August report on inflation said that growth would be pushed forward mainly by domestic demand with expectations of the vaccination process providing a key contribution as well as ongoing infrastructure projects and favorable finances and the production capacities and jobs which have been saved, the report said.

“In the medium term we expect the GDP to grow at a rate of four to five percent unlike earlier projectsion when we expected growth to stand at four precent,” the report said.
