Serbia’s Government decided on Thursday to donate 100,000 PfizerBiotech vaccines to the Czech Republic to help it fight the coronavirus epidemic.

The move came after President Aleksandar Vucic’s recent visit to Praha, during which his Czech counterpart Milos Zeman apologised to Serbia for the 1999 NATO bombing of the then Yugoslavia over the Belgrade policy in Kosovo.

Zeman said the intervention, which he agreed to, was a mistake, even a crime.

Vucic was deeply touched and said the Czech President was the first leader to say something like that.

Zeman later told Serbia’s state Tanjug agency he spoke on his behalf, as a citizen, and recalled the UN gave the green light to NATO without prior approval by the Security Council, which he said “was illegal.”
