Goran Rakic, the head of the Belgrade-backed Serb List, a political party in Kosovo, demanded the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM) in Tuesday’s meeting with the US and EU envoys Gabriel Escobar and Miloslav Lajčák.

Rakic said the CSM was a part of the 2015 Brussels Agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, but added the Serbs expected Kosovo authorities to meet all the deals from the Agreement, including the issues in the judiciary, energy, diplomas and visits by Serbia’s officials, often banned by Kosovo leadership.

Escobar, US Deputy Assistant State Secretary, and Lajčák,  EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkans issues, have been on a three-day visit in Kosovo in a joint attempt to revive talks at the highest level between Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

The Serb List also insisted on urgent safety measures to protect the Serbs, their property, and the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) assets in Kosovo.

The Party also requested the international community to prevent Pristina’s unilateral moves, which endangered the safety, peace and cohabitation in Kosovo according to the Serb List.
