Public Health Institute says 31 monkeypox cases in Serbia

The Serbian Public Health Institute said on Thursday that a total of 31 monkeypox cases have been registered in the country to date.

A press release said that the first case was confirmed on June 17 and added that the patients are all men aged 21 to 44.

The cases were reported in Belgrade, the Southern Backa, Srem and Nisava districts. The press release said all the patients developed typical symptoms including rash and fever. Three of the patients required hospitalization while the others recovered at home, it said.
