Several hundred people gathered in Pristina to protest the rise in electricity prices proposed by the Regulatory Energy Office.

The crowd called the government to reject the propopsal and revoke the privatization of the Kosovo electricity distribution company.

The price rise would mean that bills for some categories of consumers would be 25 Euro higher a month despite the fact that the government has earmarked 75 million Euro to subsidies electricity bills.
