Production resumed at the FIAT Chrysler Automobiles plant in the Serbian city of Kragujevac following a two week break, the Beta news agency reported.

Sources in the plant’s Independent Union told the agency that factory staff returned from a two week paid leave to resume production of the FIAT 500 L model. The sources said that the plant is operating in two shift, each producing 200 cars.

Union leader Sasa Djordjevic said that he expects to open talks with management about the number of working days to the end of the year and more leave. He said that the 2021 production plan is smaller than in 2020. FCA employees are customarily sent on leave in the second half of December.
