The Regional Information Agency JUGpress' director Ljiljana Stojanovic received on Wednesday a new lawsuit against her launched by two managers of Serbia's Millennium Team, a private company that had already sued several independent local and main media demanding huge compensation.
The Agency said the last lawsuit was identical to the one before, under the same number and related to a news conference in the southern Vranjska Banja (Vranjska Spa) about purchasing a hotel there, held by the opposition People’s Party, which the JUGpres reported from.
Stojanovic received the first one at the Belgarde High Court.
Ivan Bosnjak and Stojan Vujko, Millennium team managers, demand compensation for „a mental pain’ of some 17,000 euros (2,000,000 dinars).
The last lawsuit was filed on July 29, and the Agency said it showed the Millennium Team’s promise it would reduce its claims to 100 euros per lawsuit was a spin.
JUGpress asks why it is the same lawsuit, wheater it is intimidation, and who intimidates the Agency and its editor: Bosnjakand Vujko, or the Belgrade Higher Court?
Millennium Team had previously sued other media: local Info Vranjske website, independent Danas daily, N1, Newsmax Adria, nova.rs. website, Don’t Let Belgrade Drown opposition initiative and Srbin info website.
