The president of the "Srbija centar - SRCE" movement, Zdravko Ponos, told N1 that the speech of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic before the United Nations General Assembly was good and that the five points he spoke about were appropriate. However, he added that many in the diplomatic corps in Belgrade have objections to the comparison between Serbia and Ukraine.
„I was a witness a few years ago when Vucic, in his speech to the United Nations, applied the practice from party meetings, when at the beginning of the speech he said that he had abandoned the prepared speech and would speak from the top of his head. This is not done there (at UNGA), because every word is analysed. This year it was different. That speech was fine,“ Ponos said.
He added that, while he believed it was fine when the president compared Serbia and Ukraine, many in the diplomatic corps in Belgrade have objections to that part of the speech.
