Serbian Police Director Vladimir Rebic said that Predrag Koluvija's claims that he was arrested illegally and that police pressured him to blame the Serbian President’s brother Andrej Vucic and Kosovo businessman Zvonko Veselinovic for growing marijuana on the Jovanjica plantation were meaningless.

Rebic told TV Prva that police officers who led the „Jovanjica“ case – Slobodan Milenkovic, Dusan Mitic and Dejan Kovacevic – passed the polygraph test, and pointed out that he completely trusted them.

„Dusan Mitic is the head of the Department in the so-called ‘fourth department’ that deals with the fight against drugs, and his immediate superior is Slobodan Milenkovic, and the two of them, as the people who directly led the case, were invited to see me in August last year, the two of them and Dejan Kovacevic, after the media started reporting on that story of how they pressured Koluvia to accuse the state leadership, the president’s brother, etc., and I just wanted to confirm to myself that I was working with the right people, I can’t trust someone who is lying to me,“ said Rebic.

„They came to me and I openly asked them whether they did that, the questions were more than clear – ‘did you ever ask Mitic, Milenkovic and Kovacevic to accuse Koluvija’, so we listened to everyone. To put it mildly, they were shocked,“ said the Director of the police.

Koluvija, who is currently under house arrest, made a public statement on Friday in a conversation with his lawyer Vladimir Djukanovic saying that he was arrested illegally, that the police pressured him to accuse Andrej Vucic and Zvonko Veselinovic of everything, and during the interview, he indirectly accused the former Minister of Police and current Minister of Defence Nebojsa Stefanovic.

Koluvija is accused of leading a criminal group that grew more than a ton and a half of marijuana on the „Jovanjica“ plantation.
