Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic, said that Serbia missed the chance to defeat the coronavirus, but that at this moment, the most important thing is for the classes to continue in schools.

“We exceeded that number of 6,000 yesterday, and I will address it today after the session of the Crisis Staff. We knew the numbers were going to grow, but these are big numbers. At this moment, the most important thing is for the school to continue,” Brnabic said, adding that 52.2 percent of those vaccinated in Serbia is not enough.

“The state has done everything it could, three modern hospitals with the most modern devices, the latest drugs, four types of vaccines and the fifth is coming – Moderna, electronic application for vaccination, and we invite you for the second dose,” she said.

She said that Serbia has been a fertile ground for an increase in the number of infected lately, adding that the country has not completely lost the battle yet as there is still a chance that the virus will be contained.
