Minister Vulin: Serbian security services monitoring the situation

Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandar Vulin presided over the 15th meeting of the National Coordination Body for the Prevention and Fight against Terrorism, which focused on the security situation in the country and region.

The Minister was briefed on the measures and activities carried out in order to preserve the country’s peace and stability, said a press release issued by the Ministry.

„Serbian security services are carefully and intensively monitoring all the events taking place in Serbia, but also in the region, as well as in Eastern Europe. Our services undertake all measures and actions necessary to preserve and protect the stability of our country. The country headed by President (of Serbia Aleksandar) Vucic is deeply grateful to you,“ said Vulin.

Also discussed at the meeting was energy security in times of a global crisis, and the Minister underlined that energy security is an inseparable part of national security and that Serbian security services are particularly committed to protecting the country’s energy sector.

In addition to the members of the National Coordination Body for the Prevention and Fight against Terrorism, the meeting was also attended by representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime, Security-Information Agency, Military Intelligence Agency, Military Security Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Finance Ministry, Office of the National Security Council and Commissariat for Refugees and Migration, said the press release.
