A press release from the Serbian President’s cabinet quoted European Union Council President Charles Michel as saying that Serbia is seriously continuing reform processes in order to join the EU.

It said that Michel congratulated President Aleksandar Vucic on the progress achieved on the country’s European path by opening clusters in the accession talks and praised its commitment to reforms which was reflected in the referendum of amendments to the constitution.

Vucic is quoted as telling Michel in the phone conversation that Serbia is serious about continuing the reform processes and thanked the EU Council President for his support and the engagement of Brussels on joint infrastructure projects.

The press release said that they discussed the situation in the region with focus on Serbia’s commitment to a policy of peace and cooperation in the Western Balkans.
