The city of Belgrade will announce an international competition for the conceptual design of the Amy Winehouse monument near the Belgrade Fortress, where she held her last concert, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesic, said on Sunday.

On his official Facebook page, Vesic reminded that the British singer Amy Winehouse held her last concert ten years ago, on June 18, 2011, near the Belgrade Fortress.

“After a little over a month, Amy died. Belgrade will announce an international competition for the conceptual design of the monument to Amy Winehouse at the place where she held her last concert. I hope that next year at this time Belgrade will have a modern sculpture at the place where Amy held her last concert,” he said.
