Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that he “will not allow a second Republika Srpska in Kosovo”, similar to the one in Bosnia and Herzegovina, KoSSev reported.

Republika Srpska (RS) is a Serb-dominated entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

“I am not against the Serbs, but Serbia is against us and I cannot allow a second Republika Srpska, in Kosovo, similar to the one in Bosnia because they have begun uniting Serb-dominated municipalities there aimed at creating an autonomous entity that is sabotaging the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I believe they have the same goal in Kosovo, one must not forget that the leaders in Serbia are the ones who tried to make a project for the exchange of territories a few years back which I cannot say is dead but, as a project, it failed in the end. Therefore, the same ones who tried to divide Kosovo in the name of territorial exchange are the ones who have been persistently asking for an Association of municipalities with a Serb majority population, which is unacceptable to us,” said Kurti, KoSSev reported.

The Kosovo Prime Minister told Siri TV that he is not in favor of the Open Balkan initiative, supported by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

„We do not agree on some regional initiatives. I believe that Serbia, which is not neutral but has taken the side of the Kremlin, will destabilize the Balkans. You cannot be neutral between firefighters and a fire. They have 14 MIG29 aircrafts. They got eight from Belarus and six from Russia, there is no dilemma,” Kurti said.

Rama’s and Vucic’s Open Balkan Initiative will fail, said Kurti, adding that the Balkans have been open to the European Union (EU), USA and NATO for years and that he thinks “it is wrong” to open it like Serbia is open to the Russian Federation and China.

“Everything that is not good for Kosovo is not good for Albania either, what is not good for Albania is not good for Kosovo either. We are two countries but we are one people,” said Kurti.
