Kosovo Prime Minster Albin Kurti said that he has not received an invitation from Brussels, Radio Free Europe (RFE) reported.

“We were to meet with the Serbian President (Aleksandar Vucic) in Brussels on July 19, but he asked that the meeting be postponed to end of August. Maybe he was busy preparing what happened yesterday, because we were to meet on July 19,” Kurti told a press conference, RFE reported.

Kurti added that he “expressed readiness” to go to Brussels “when we are invited by European Union High Representative Josep Borrell.”

“At this time we do not have such an invitation,” said Kurti, adding that once it arrives the public will be informed about it and “we will present our position on it.”

The Kosovo Prime Minister said that he is ready for and supports a dialogue that will lead to the full normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, with focus on mutual recognition.

European Union (EU) spokesperson Peter Stano confirmed that EU Foreign Affairs chief Josep Borrell has invited Kurti and Vucic to Brussels to resume the dialogue.
