Kosovo's opposition refused to postpone local elections scheduled for October 17, President Vjosa Osmani said on Monday, despite the recommendation from the Public Health Institute on their negative impact on the coronavirus epidemic, Serbia’s state RTS TV reported.

Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti was also for the delay in the vote due to the worsening epidemic situation.

However, the opposition parties said they were against it, blaming the government for the mismanagement of the COVID-19 epidemic.
