Serb List leader Goran Rakic said on Tuesday that the Belgrade-backed Kosovo Serb party was told by Quinta ambassadors that they support an independent Kosovo and Pristina’s decisions.

“They called us to accept the reality on the ground which is that Kosovo is independent. We and no other -Serb will accept that. We look at the table in Brussels and for us this is not a done deal,” Rakic told a news conference.

The head of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo Petar Petkovic said that the message from the Quinta countries is another example of pressure. “I don’t see why the Quinta country representatives can’t invest at least a little bit of effort to pressure (Kosovo Prime Minister Albin) Kurti into forming the Community of Serb Municipalities,” he said.

He added that he expects Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and his team to find a way out of the crisis through the dialogue in Brussels.
