The head of the Forensics Institute in Pristina said on Tuesday that three sites in Kosovo and one in Serbia will be investigated as part of the search for missing persons.
Institute Director Arsim Gerxhaliu said that the three sites in Kosovo would be excavated soon as well as a site outside the town o Sjenica in southwestern Serbia. He told the EkonomiaOnline portal that he believes that a fifth site will be prepared for excavation soon. “We will not stop until we complete the necessary work and excavations,” he said. Gerxhaliu recalled that the excavations outside the town of Raska in western Serbia were discontinued because bad weather late last year after remains were found.
He said that the Institute is in constant contact with the Kosovo war crime prosecution and the police, adding that investigations are underway at present.
