Croatian journalist and writer Viktor Ivancic assessed that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, is spreading and developing the "barracks mentality" in society.
“Vucic’s media drive serves to develop and spread the mentality of the barracks in Serbia, where political daily life will go on from one alarm siren to another,“ Ivancic said in an interview with the Vojvodina portal Autonomija.
He noted that the idea of the ‘Serb world’ seems to be some kind of „ideological masturbation, being as dangerous as it is boring.”
Speaking about the centenary of the birth of the first president of independent Croatia, Franjo Tudjman, he assessed that as time goes by, his bad qualities are easier to forget, and his good ones are easier to invent. He also noted that the rhetoric of the current president Zoran Milanovic is extremely militaristic.
