Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin stated that the only reason why Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is not running in the presidential elections is pressure from Western countries.

Vulin told TV Prva that he will personally run for president if Vucic does not do it.

“We are both comrades-in-arms. If the Serbian Progressive Party does not want to fight, then the Socialist Movement will. They have someone better than me, that is Aleksandar Vucic, but they have no one else better than me, therefore, either he will run, or I will,” he said.

Vulin said that the law the former High Representative in Bosnia, Valentin Inzko, imposed which makes denying the Srebrenica genocide illegal was so that the truth about Srebrenica is not revealed and so Serbs are prevented from talking about it.

„It is Inzko’s revenge, because he is taking revenge on the people who did not love him, and neither did he love them,“ he said.

He also said that the possibility of arresting the Serb member of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency, Milorad Dodik, for denying the genocide “is not a way to preserve peace in the region.”

“Now they want to arrest Dodik or every Serb who thinks for himself. That would turn Bosnia into a prison for the people. Bosniaks will not be happier because of this law, it only threatens peace and their lives,” he said.
