Graffiti signed Northern Brigade telling Kosovo Serbs not to worry appeared in Kosovska Mitrovica on Thursday, hours before meetings between top officials from Belgrade and Pristina.

The stenciled graffiti said: Don’t Worry, We’re Here – Northern Brigade, the KoSSev news portal reported and recalled that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said after a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that “there is a new generation of kids who won’t tolerate terror” in the north of Kosovo. KoSSev also recalled that the new grafitti appeared about a month after stenciled messages saying No Surrender, KM Remains! (KM is the abbreviation for Kosovo and Metohija, the official name used by the authorities for what they consider to be Serbia’s southern province).

The new graffiti appeared in a number of places across the mainly-Serb populated Mitrovica North. KoSSev said the word waiting was also stenciled in some of the places.
