Koluvija, the main suspect in two indictments in the case of the largest marijuana farm in Europe, also said that the German embassy, out of political correctness, did not want to interfere officially but only contacted him and that embassy’s people visited him in detention.

„We provided consular assistance to Mr Koluvija because he is a German citizen. We do not comment on the current court proceedings,“ the embassy said.

Currently, two proceedings are being held before the Special Court in Belgrade for the Jovanjica case. One refers to Koluvija as the owner of the farm and his employees, while the other deals with the members of the security services. They are said to have guarded the marijuana plantation and acted as Koluvija’s security.
