A far-right candidate for Serbian president said on Thursday that he wants to stop foreigners from falsifying Serbian history.
Misa Vacic, leader of the Serbian Right organization, said that if he is elected he will forbid “foreigners from handing Serbian children false history”. He said that “it’s a crime to the future” of the children of Serbia to have “foreign embassies” editing history textbooks.
“By changing the truth about our past they want to take away their future. Serbian children should learn about the glorious Serbian warrior tradition and fight for freedom through the centuries and our existence here since the world began. We did not move here in the 7th century, we have always been here,” Vacic said.
