Both Serbia and Kosovo have European ambitions, and the European Union made it clear that the normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina is what the member states expect without any way around to it, the EU Special Representative for Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak told European Western Balkans regional web portal.
Speaking in the EWB’s programme ‘Screening’ Lajcak said he expected the dialogue to resume as soon as Kosovo forms its government.
He also said that it was possible to finalise the dialogue within a month but that it is up to the two parties in the talks to decide on the pace.
It is in the interest of both Belgrade and Pristina to resume the dialogue and the EU is ready to help and facilitate the process.
