The ruling Socialist Party led by Prime Minister Edi Rama won 49 percent of half of counted votes in the general elections in Albania, according to preliminary results on Monday

The leading opposition conservative party of Lulzim Basha won 39 percent, but it remained unknown if Rama’s Socialists would have an absolute majority of 71 out of 140 Parliament’s seats.
