Djilas: High turnout secures opposition election victory

Part of Freedom and Justice (SSP) leader Dragan Djilas said that the Serbian opposition could win the April 3 elections if the turnout is high.

“Our polls, and we have been doing them for 20 months, show that there is a real chance of the regime losing these elections, that the opposition can win. In order for that to happen, the turnout in Belgrade has to be 900,000 voters to secure victory and 3.8 million across Serbia so that the regime won’t get a majority,” Djilas said on the Impression of the Week talk show on Nova S TV.

He said that the polls show that around 500,000 people are undecided. Djilas did not reveal the name of the agency that conducted the polls because “they would loose commercial clients”.
