The deputy chief of the Belgrade Infectious Diseases Clinic said on Monday that doctors fear the easing of the anti-pandemic measures.
“We fear every easing of the measures because we are the ones who feel them the most,” Dr Ivana Milosevic told the Serbian state TV (RTS). She said that the good news is that the number of admissions and releases from hospitals is about equal but warned that her clinic is still full of patients. “We now have eight patients on ventilators but we never know when a patient’s health state will change,” she said.
According to Milosevic, vaccination is the only way out of the pandemic. “The warm weather will not bring improvements. Vaccine is the only good thing but we won’t get back to normal life before half the population is vaccinated,” she said.
