Czechia’s Ambassador in Belgrade Tomas Kuhta said that his country wants Serbia to open at least one cluster in its pre-accession negotiations during its European Union Presidency which starts on July 1.

“We hope that the French Presidency will manage to open negotiations with North Macedonia and Albania and if it does not that will be our job,” Kuhta told reporters at a debate on the French and Czech presidencies.

He said that he hopes that Bosnia-Herzegovina will get EU candidate status and a visa liberalization for Kosovo.

“The number one priority now is the crisis in Ukraine,” he said adding that the conflict is affecting all of Europe.
