Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed another 340 coronavirus cases and 28 fatalities among COVID patients, the healthcare authorities said on Friday.

The new results came from 2,566 lab tests performed on the samples of those who reported infection symptoms. Bosnia’s Federation entity has so far confirmed 131,718 coronavirus cases out of 640,426 those who tested for the virus presence. A total of 116,874 COVID patients has recovered. The region’s death toll stands at 5,019. As for Republika Srpska entity, its healthcare authorities confirmed the total of 62,540 patients out of 261,443 persons tested for the virus infection. A total of 43,202 patients have recovered and 3,469 died. Brcko District reported a total of 6,435 cases since the epidemic outbreak and 302 fatalities. A total of 4,641 patients has recovered.

Croatia

Over the past 24 hours, 1,435 new cases of the coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Croatia, and there have been 33 related deaths, the national Covid-19 crisis management team said on Friday.

The number of active cases in Croatia today stands at 11,265. There are 2,079 Covid patients in hospitals, 242 of whom are on ventilators. Since 25 February 2020, when Croatia registered its first case of the infection with the novel virus, a total of 342,487 people have been registered as having contracted coronavirus, 7,388 of them have died, while 323,834 have recovered, including 2,079 in the last 24 hours. There are 28,436 people in self-isolation. To date, 1,863,305 people have been tested, including 7,682 over the past 24 hours. As at 6 May, 1,025,701 doses of the vaccine have been administered in Croatia. So far, 796,909 people have received at least one dose, and 228,792 of them have received both doses.

Montenegro

The Montenegrin Public Health Institute said that 7 people died of coronavirus-related ailments in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,533 since the pandemic broke out.

It said that 1,337 people had been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, including 100 who tested positive. There are 1,958 active cases. Another 160 patients were reported to have recovered from COVID-19.

Kosovo

The Kosovo National Public Health Institute said that 4 people died of coronavirus-related ailments in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,202 since the pandemic broke out.

It said that 2,545 people had been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, including 170 who tested positive. There are 6,933 active cases. Another 389 patients were reported to have recovered from COVID-19.
